Clour and Pour Point 

Clour and Pour Point has the following features:

  • Cloud & pour point are indicators of the lowest temperature of utility for petroleum products. The sample is periodically examined while it is being cooled in the cloud & pour point apparatus. The highest temperature at which haziness is observed (cloud point) or the lowest temperature at which movement of the oil is observed (pour point) is reported as the test result.

  • Single, Three, Four and Five test chambers.

  • Individual built in CFC-free single / cascade refrigeration system with eco-friendly refrigerant.

  • Individual digital temperature control system.

  • Each compartment is designed to accommodate 4 test jars at a time.

Viscosity Bath 

Viscosity Bath has the following features:

  • Kinematic viscosity is of primary importance in the design and selection of a wide range of petroleum products. Calibrated capillary viscometers are used to measure flow under geavity or vacuum at precisely controlled temperatures.

  • Rectangular model having double walled construction with toughened glass observation window (254 W x 225 H mm).

Demulsion Bath 

Demulsion Bath has the following features:

  • The ability of a lubricating oil to separate from water and resist emulsification is an important performance characteristic for applications involving water contamination and turbulence. Water separability is determined by stirring equal volume of water and sample together at a controlled temperature to form an emulsion and observing the time required for separation of the emulsion to occur. This method is suitable for petroleum oils and synthetic fluids.

  • Rectangular model having double walled construction with toughened glass observation window (230W x 200H mm).

  • Illumination from rear side.

  • 4 place Herschel Emulsifier.

  • Added advantage of the stirrer being easily moved to each test position instead of moving the samples.

  • Digital temperature, speed and timer

  • Timer stops the stirrer after 5 minutes automatically and audible alarm.

Foam Bath

Foam Bath 

Foam Bath has the following features:

  • Foaming of lubricating oils in applications involving turbulence, high speed gearing or high volume pumping can cause inadequate lubrication, cavitation, overflow and premature oxidation. The sample is blown with a controlled volume of air at different specified temperatures. The resultant foam is measured at the end of each aeration period and at different intervals afterward.

  • Rectangular single / double foam test model with double walled construction with toughened glass observation window (75W x 385H mm) s uitable for 1, 2 & 3 sequence.

  • Illumination at rear.

  • Stirrer, heater and cooling coil installed in each bath.

  • This method consist of single / two test bath large enough to permit immersion of 1000ml graduated cylinder.

  • Digital temperature controller with PT-100 sensor.

  • The gas diffuser is of 1” dia spherical made up to crystalline alumina grain.

  • Air flow meter with needle valve to maintain an airflow rate of 94 ± 5ml/min through the gas diffuser stone.

  • Diffuser arrangement consists of diffuser stone, air tube and gasket.

Rusting Bath has the following features:

  • These standards describe procedures for testing the rust preventing characteristics of steam turbine oils, hydraulic oils and all kinds of gear oils in presence of water.

  • 4 and 6 place constant temperature oil bath models with 400ml beakers, covers, stirring paddles, specimen holders, thermometers and steel test specimen.
